The Quality Service Review (QSR) team continues to host the Qualitative Inquiry and Implementation Network (QIIN), bringing together partners to support shared learning and strengthen practice across systems. On March 31st, QIIN featured guest speakers Dr. John Lyons and Bryce Pittenger, and 103 participants in attendance from 25 states. The session highlighted key approaches to quality improvement and system-level collaboration.
The COI is excited to roll out a new self-paced professional development library! Behavioral health professionals and others who are interested in learning about topics relevant to behavioral health can now earn social work and cultural CEUs, as well as State of New Mexico Trauma Responsive Training Credits, on their own timeline.
In April, the COI attended the 2026 Children’s Law Institute Conference and the NMSU ACES Open House as an exhibitor to spread the word to the community about the various statewide programs and trainings that the COI supports.
The From Learning to Practice (FL2P) program, a statewide workforce development initiative designed to strengthen New Mexico’s behavioral health system, recently received positive recognition from the New Mexico Highlands University’s recent report, stating “A final promising approach is the From Learning to Practice (FL2P) Initiative, championed by the Center of Innovation and funded through the New Mexico Healthcare Authority (HCA). FL2P represents a breakthrough in bridging the gap from academic preparation to meaningful employment…”
