About the COI Self-Paced Professional Development Library

The Center of Innovation for Behavioral Health and Wellbeing is now offering self-paced professional development opportunities for behavioral health professionals and others who are interested in learning about topics relevant to behavioral health. All COI eLearning courses provide learners with CEUs. Some courses also provide State of New Mexico Trauma-Responsive Training credits. Our goal is to expand knowledge and awareness of introductory behavioral health topics across New Mexico and beyond, while allowing individuals to learn at their own pace and on their own timeline.

Behavioral Health in Children and Adolescents

This course provides information on several topics related to behavioral health in children and young people, including some of the most common mental health diagnoses, the possible role and functions of mental health medications, as well as introducing terminology and relevant statistics. 3 Social Work CEUs offered!

This course introduces some of the value-based programs and approaches that are available to families in New Mexico, specifically Youth Peer Support, Family Peer Support, and NM High-Fidelity Wraparound. 2 Social Work CEUs offered!

Core Services in New Mexico's Child-Serving System

This course introduces a variety of behavioral health services. This includes evidence-based practices such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Multisystemic Therapy (MST), as well as other therapeutic modalities that are available to children and families through New Mexico's child-serving system. 2 Social Work CEUs offered!

School-Based Services in New Mexico

This course provides information about different elements of K-12 education in New Mexico, including the Multilayer System of Supports (MLSS), special education, gifted education, school-based health centers, and community schools. 2 Social Work CEUs offered!

You will find the test access code near the end of the associated eLearning. Please be sure to write it down when you come across it, so that you will be able to take the test.

Is there a cost for the eLearnings?
