Assisting Individuals in Crisis and Group Crisis Intervention
Critical incidents are unusually challenging events that have the potential to create significant human distress and can overwhelm one’s usual coping mechanisms. Critical Incidents profoundly affect individuals and often the communities causing fear and uncertainty and contradict the belief that our locality is a safe and secure environment. This Crisis Intervention Training will prepare clinical and non-clinical program staff to deal with normal reactions to abnormal events. Participants will gain knowledge and skills in crisis intervention and incident debriefing in both group and individual settings.

This training is for CYFD Community Behavioral Health Clinicians (CBHC) and other invited staff from Residential Programs and Shelters
