Welcome!
Applications to participate in DBT Team Training and Consultation for New Mexico Behavioral Health Providers interested in pursuing approval for the Medicaid DBT Specialty Rate are accepted on an annual basis.

Application Requirements
Complete and submit the Agency DBT Team Application and Narrative Form
- To be completed by leadership responsible for oversight of DBT Programming & DBT Team
- Must be signed by the leadership completing the form and the organization administrator
- Narrative form must be uploaded along with DBT Team Application
Identified team members complete and submit the Individual DBT Team Application and Narrative Form
- Must be signed by the individual team member and the supervisor or administrator that completed the Agency DBT Team Application & Agreement

What does New Mexico require to be able to bill at the EBP DBT Specialized Provider Rate?
- Clinician must be an active member of a DBT Team providing Comprehensive DBT (all aspects of the DBT model). A team must have a minimum of two (2) DBT-LBC Certified Therapists.
- Clinician will complete the DBT Provider Application on COI website with required documents.
- The DBT Provider Application will be reviewed and documents verified. If COI needs more information, we will reach out to you.
- Once the Center of Innovation receives approval confirmation from the State, you will be sent an approval letter via email.
DBT Team Training Process Overview
Once your team is admitted into the training and consultation cohort, you and your team are required to attend the following trainings and consultation sessions listed below. Consultation sessions will be scheduled with each team and the trainer. Individual clinicians that plan to pursue DBT-LBC Therapist Certification will have the opportunity for ongoing consultation.
Jump Start in Individual DBT Therapy Training
- November 17-19 & December 1-2, 2025 | 9:00AM-4:30PM
DBT Specific Techniques Training - Attend one of the following dates:
- February 3, 2026 | 8:00AM-4:00PM
- March 31, 2026 | 8:00AM-4:00PM
- April 23, 2026 | 8:00AM-4:00PM
Case Conceptualization Training
- May 11-14, 2026 | 8:00AM-12:00PM
Please note that neither the Center of Innovation or the State of New Mexico pay the costs for DBT-LBC Certification.
