Welcome!

The Introduction to Trauma-Focused CBT is a two-day virtual training totaling 12 CEUs for therapists offered in conjunction with required consultation. Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) is a short-term, evidence-based treatment for children, ages 3-18, who have experienced trauma and their caregivers. Following completion of the Introductory TF-CBT training, therapists will participate in a series of up to 14 one-hour TF-CBT consultation calls to support model learning and application (minimum of 9 required). These group consultation calls will take place twice monthly via Zoom. Therapists are required to carry at least one (2 recommended) active TF-CBT case(s) and discuss their TF-CBT progress throughout the consultation. Please only apply for this training if you are prepared to participate in the consultation meetings and to carry at least one TF-CBT case.

This training is designed to meet the National TF-CBT Certification Program Introductory TF-CBT training requirement. Certification is required to bill the enhanced Specialty Medicaid rate in New Mexico.
