Foundations & Ethics of Clinical Supervision
Training Description
Virtual Training | $175 to Attend | 7.5-hour Training | 6 CEUs
This training meets NM Social Work and Counseling & Therapy Board criteria for supervision training. It provides foundational information as well as tools to integrate into your own style of supervision. Through lecture, discussion, small breakout groups and self-reflection, participants will engage in exploration of different models, theories, and competencies of clinical social work supervision. Identify your supervision style and self care strategies to keep you grounded in order to provide exceptional professional development to your supervisees.
This training is intended for independently licensed clinicians interested in Supervision Training.
NOTE: CEUs meet criteria for the NM Social Work Board and Counseling & Therapy Board required training for supervisors.
Learning Objectives
- Identify the purpose, types and key functions of clinical supervision.
- Reflect on various models of supervision and find which model(s) best fit with their style of leadership.
- Familiarize themselves with the Core Competencies of a Clinical Supervisor.
- Have a thorough understanding of ethical standards as it relates to supervision.
- Identify trauma responses in staff and understand trauma stewardship in supervision.
- Reflect on and create a supervisor hierarchy of needs for themselves as clinical supervisors.
Trainer: Breeann Rocha, LCSW | Mariposa Training & Supervision
Breeann Rocha, LCSW, is the Director of Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Programs at New Mexico Solutions, where she oversees ACT teams serving urban and rural counties across the state. A licensed clinical social worker since 2014, Breeann has dedicated her career to community-based mental health services, with a special focus on expanding access in underserved areas. She has provided clinical supervision to social workers and counselors statewide as well as developed a board approved training course for foundations in clinical supervision. She also has extensive training in Nurtured Heart Approach® and Motivational Interviewing. Breeann also served as an adjunct professor at the New Mexico Highlands University School of Social Work, where she mentored future practitioners with a blend of academic insight and real-world experience.

Cost to Attend
There is a $175 registration fee to attend this training. Registration is not confirmed until full payment is received.
Cancellations for paid trainings require registrants cancel 5 business days prior to the start of the training to receive a full refund (minus 2.85% service fee, if paid by credit card). Cancellations received after 5 business days prior to the start of the training are subject to partial or no reimbursement of registration fee.
