What is Training and Support?

The Center of Innovation offers a number of trainings in support of the overall behavioral health service array in New Mexico. Below you will find information on how to access some outside certification training sites as well as current trainings and Evidence Based Practices in New Mexico. Training and Certification Access Codes

CSE-IT

WestCoast’s Commercial Sexual Exploitation-Identification Tool is designed to improve early identification of children who are commercially sexually exploited. The Center of Innovation provides access to CSE-IT certification for authorized CYFD personnel and community providers.

CANS

The Child and Adolescent Needs and Strengths tool is a multi-purpose, person-centered, and trauma informed tool. CANS is used to better gauge children coming into custody and ensure that their plans are individualized and addresses both the needs and the strengths of the child and their family. The Center of Innovation provides access to CANS certification for authorized CYFD personnel and community providers.

Evidence Based Practice Implementation in New Mexico

The Center of Innovation supports the implementation of EBPs throughout New Mexico’s System of Care. Specific content for this site is under development. Check back for more information on Functional Family Therapy, Practice Self-Regulation, Motivational Interviewing, Attachment-Regulation-Competency (ARC), Question-Persuade-Refer (QPR), and more.
