What is CSE-IT?
WestCoast’s Commercial Sexual Exploitation-Identification Tool (CSE-IT, pronounced “see it”), is designed to improve early identification of children who are commercially sexually exploited. The CSE-IT is appropriate for use by any provider serving youth, including child welfare workers, probation officers, mental health clinicians, and first responders.
The Following Steps are Required to be Licensed
Agency MOU must be in place before you can start training.
CYFD (all divisions) is currently set up. If you are not with CYFD please check with your organization’s leadership if your MOU with WestCoast Children’s Clinic is in place before requesting training access.
Complete access request form below.
Access requests need to be submitted by the 15th of each month. New Training Cohorts start the 1st of the following month and runs through the month. The course typically takes 3-4 hours to complete from beginning to end. Course access ends at 12:59am MST of the last day of the cohort month. After this point, all progress, if not completed, will be lost and course access cannot be extended beyond cohort month.
Receive supervisor and/or CYFD agency approval.
Once approval is given you will be sent an email from WestCoast Children’s Clinic with an invitation to access online training. The email will come from [email protected] so keep an eye out for that and check your junk/spam folder.
Complete training within 30 days.
If training is not completed, your access will be invalidated. Training takes a typical user 3-4 hours to complete.
Begin using Commercial Sexual Exploitation-Identification Tool per the appropriate protocol for your organization. If you receive an error code, you may need to complete the Service Provider Information Form
