How will the EBP provider application be used?
The application process will be used to identify providers that are currently trained in the EBP and qualified to receive the EBP-specific rate for these evidence-based practices (EBPs) and eligible to enroll with NM Medicaid to provide these services.
How and when will provider EBP qualifications be verified?
The application review process can take up to 45 days from the date the application is completed in full (all supporting documentation has been provided). Applications will be reviewed, and qualifications will be verified by the Center of Innovation team, in consultation with EBP experts. Recommendations for approval of a provider’s EBP qualifications will be made to the State. Providers will be notified if they have met the qualification standards or if additional steps need to be taken to meet the standards.
Approved providers will receive additional information about the specialized EBP rates, billing procedures, expectations for delivering the EBP, documentation of services, quality assurance expectations, and monitoring for maintaining EBP qualifications.
I have been approved as an EBP provider. What are the next steps?
If you are already a Medicaid provider, you will have to complete a provider update form on the Medicaid portal to include your specialty type for the EBP (see your approval letter). Once the update is complete, contact your MCO provider representative to update/amend your contract with the MCO. Each MCO has its own process. Provide a copy of your approval letter to all MCOs that you are contracted with.
If you are not currently a Medicaid provider, you will need to enroll with Medicaid as a provider. Click here to do so.
What EBP training will be offered?
The Center of Innovation offers training in DBT, EMDR, and TF-CBT. Training for MST and FFT is team-based and require feasibility process and prior approval from the respective training partners. See the MST and FFT pages above for more details. Please see the specific EBP page for detailed information. Please see the COI Training Calendar for all upcoming trainings offered through COI.
